Description:

The primary responsibility of the Tennis Facilities Committee is to advise and assist the Board of Directors in developing and administering an ongoing program to preserve and enhance the Canyon Lake Tennis Facility.

In fulfilling its responsibility, the Tennis Facilities Committee shall perform functions which include the following:

  • In cooperation with the Director of Operations, provide advice and assistance in developing reasonable standards for the operation and maintenance of the Tennis Facility
  • Review and propose as needed changes in the rules and regulations relating to the safe, equitable, and pleasurable use of the Tennis Facility
  • With the guidance of the Tennis Professional, review and recommend to the Board for final approval the tournament schedule for the Tennis Club
  • Work with the Tennis Professional and the Tennis Club members to provide advice and assistance to the Board developing long range plans for ensuring the most effective preservation and future use of the Tennis facilities
  • Review, discuss, and report to the General Manager or his/her designated representative any problems, concerns, or recommendations made by members which may require the attention of the Board and/or staff
  • Review complaints/recommendations from the membership and make recommendations to the Board. All complaints/recommendations must be presented to the Committee in writing in order to be considered
  • Perform such other related functions as directed by the Board

The General Manager is responsible to establish a Tennis Facilities inspection at least once every three months. This inspection would be performed by the Director of Operations, along with the Tennis Facilities Committee Liaison and would summarize the following items:

    1. The general condition of Tennis Facilities to date.

    2. Problems (list all current and potential problems found).

    3. Solutions to problems (list what needs to be completed now and in the future to correct the problems)

    4. Set a definite time frame when and how problems will be solved (develop a flow chart with time schedules for completion).

A written report of the Tennis Facilities inspection is to be distributed to the General Manager, Director of Operations, and the Tennis Facilities Committee.
