The Board approved the establishment of a traffic school as part of the appeals process in order to allow for a fine reduction for members who take a class and learn about the Association’s driving rules. The traffic school is for those appealing traffic tickets served inside the private community. The fee is $25 for those with citations; free to those who are coming for educational purposes only. The next class will be March 10 from 7:00-9:00 PM. The instructor is Don Duncan, a licensed driving school teacher.

ACCording to the ACC
LANDSCAPING We are a little ahead of the calendar when it comes to the old saying, “April showers bring May flowers,” but since we have had February showers, we certainly have the weeds and greenery that typically come with rain. There has been just enough rain to make the hills come alive with new growth and that also means new, and sometimes unwanted, growth in our yards. Now is a great time to take a look around the yard and check for unwanted weed growth. The weather might co-operate just enough to get out and pull some weeds and get a little exercise, to boot. With any luck, the ground is soft enough to make yanking those things much easier. Look even more closely, and you might find some bare dirt that requires coverage. If it’s not an area where the grass that has had a rough go of it, and just a planter that’s looking tired, some fresh bark or gravel works well. Trim any dead or dying foliage! It might be the perfect time to get out and enjoy one of the many beautiful days we appreciate so much in our “little bit of paradise.”
