One of Canyon Lake’s favorite events, Fiesta Day, will celebrate its 44th anniversary on May 27, 2017. The theme this year will be “Stars, Stripes & Fiesta”, a patriotic tribute honoring all those who have served our great nation.

IMPORTANT PARKING & TRAFFIC REMINDERS
Road Closures & Parade/Parking Reminders
(Parade Route Streets will close at 8:30 a.m.)

  • The parade streets - Canyon Lake Drive North (from Steel Head Drive to Canyon Club Drive), Canyon Club Drive, and Lighthouse Drive will be closed to all vehicles starting at 8:30 a.m. until the end of the parade, approximately 10:30 a.m.
  • Canyon Lake Drive South (this includes the Main Causeway) will be closed to through traffic at Village Way from 8:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. for the parade.
  • The parade will start on Canyon Lake Drive North at Gulf Stream Drive and Yellow Feather Drive at 9 a.m. The route will be from Canyon Lake Drive North to Canyon Club Drive, around the circle at the Lodge, and end at Lighthouse Drive.
  • Canyon Club Drive will become 'one way' to enter the Lodge, and Lighthouse Drive will become 'one way' to exit the Lodge towards Vacation Drive.
  • The parade staging streets will be Yellow Feather, Mayflower, Spray and Smuggler's Drive. Line up starts at 7 a.m.
  • There will be No Parking from 6 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 27 on Canyon Lake Drive North from Steel Head Drive to Canyon Club Drive, and on Canyon Club Drive and Lighthouse Drive streets.

Please note: Entrance will be allowed through the Main, North, and East gates, however, please be aware that there may be heavy traffic due to the road closures during the parade from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 am. Please route your guests through the best entrance according to your residence that will avoid the street closures if they plan to visit during this time frame.

Lodge Access & Parking Reminders

  • There will be No Parking in the first two rows of the Lodge parking lot after 6 a.m. on Friday, May 26. After 12 a.m. (midnight) there will be No Parking in the remainder of the Lodge parking lot. Cars parked in the parking lot after this time will be cited and/or towed. The parking lot must be clear in order for the event to be set-up.
  • AFTER the parade is over, ONLY handicapped vehicles and vehicles with designated passes will be allowed past the corner of Canyon Club Drive and Lighthouse Drive to enter the Lodge parking lot.
  • Golf carts with designated passes will be allowed to park on Canyon Club Drive & Lighthouse Drive AFTER the parade (in designated areas), on a first come, first serve basis ONLY. If the parking area becomes full, staff will direct traffic to find parking in other areas.
  • Bicycles, skateboards, and scooters may not be ridden past Canyon Club Drive and Lighthouse Drive, walk-ins only. There will be designated parking areas for bikes at Tennis Court #2 by the restrooms, please bring a lock. Bicycle parking is at your own risk, the Canyon Lake Property Owner's Association is not responsible for bicycles parked in this area.

Following the parade, members and their guests are invited to join in for a variety of fun activities and entertainment at this year’s event. The schedule of events is:

Parade – 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.

Main Event – 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Main Stage (In Front of Lodge)
Opening Ceremonies – 10 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
10 a.m. - Invocation
10:05 a.m. - Presentation of Colors
10:10 a.m. - Pledge of Allegiance by Cub Scouts
10:15 a.m. - National Anthem by Makenna Diegelman
10:20 a.m. - Sponsors, Dignitaries and Veterans Introductions
10:20 a.m. - Float Winner (Sponsored by Lake Elsinore GNC)

Main Event Activities - 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
10:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. - Dana the Magician
12 p.m. to 4 p.m. - Hodads Band
3 p.m. - Contest Winners Announced (All Contests)

Inside Stage – 11:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
11 a.m. - JDI Dance Co. Show
11:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. - Reptile Show
1:30 p.m. - Boss of the (Barbecue) Sauce Contest
2:30 p.m. - Jammin Jam Contest

Beach – 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
10 a.m. to 4 p.m. - Tube Rolling on the Lake ($5 per person)
There will be no Tube Rolling during Ski Show at 1 p.m.
1 p.m. to 2 p.m. - Ski Show

General Outside – 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

10 a.m. to 4 p.m. - Mechanical Bull ($5 per person)
10 a.m. to 3 p.m. - Face Painting ($2)

Outside Kids Zone
10 a.m. to 4 p.m. - Mini Horses

Kid’s Zone – 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Wristbands are $8 each
10 a.m. to 4 p.m. - Dunk Tank, Elephant Ride, Bounce Houses, and Obstacle Courses
12 p.m. - Kid’s Zone Raffle
3 p.m. - Kid’s Zone Raffle


CONTESTS
This year's contest will have an all-American theme with a fun Jam Contest, Barbecue Sauce Contest, Parade Float Contest and of course the traditional Booth Decorating Contest will return.

In addition to the sponsorship opportunities, there are 105 booth spaces available this year for vendors. Businesses, clubs and groups alike can reserve a booth at the event. Booth spaces are 12’x12’ and prizes are given for the best display of this year’s theme.  Applications for booths will be posted after April 1, 2017.
