Community Patrol enforces the CLPOA's Rules & Regulations by issuing citations. To appeal a citation, a member must complete a Citation Appeals Request Form (PDF) within 15 days. The Citation Appeals Request Form must be signed by the Prime or Associate Member, then faxed, emailed, or submitted in person to the Hearing Services Associate. Once submitted, the appeal will be processed. The CLPOA will then mail a notification with an appeals date in which the member can present their case to the Appeals Committee.
Sign-ups for Appeals begin at 5 p.m. with the first case heard at 5:30 p.m. The first person to sign-up will be the first person seen. Appeals are traditionally held on the last Monday of the month.
Members who receive traffic citations may be eligible to attend traffic school to reduce or remove the citation. Read more about Traffic School.
