Registration begins March 9. Classes begin June 17! 

Water polo lessons at the pool are designed to introduce the sport of water polo to swimmers. Participants will enjoy learning the basic skills and understanding of the sport in a recreational format. New swimmers can join any week.

Class Levels
Week 1: Basics
June 17 - June 21
Learn to eggbeat, basic positioning, basic passing, and shooting forms, as well as basic water polo lingo/communication.

Week 2: Passing 
June 24 - June 28
Focus on basics of water polo taught in week one, as well as working on all types of passing. ie. - cross face, long/short range, no look, wet/dry ect. 

Week 3: Shooting 
July 8 - July 12
Focus on basics of water polo taught in week one, as well as working on all types of shooting and proper form. ie. – cross-cage, strong side, wet shots, and shots from set. 

Week 4: Offense
July 15 - July 19
Focus on basics of water polo taught in week one, as well as working on different types of plays and positions that will help make them a good offensive player. 

Week 5: Defense
July 22 - July 26
Focus on basics of water polo taught in week one, as well as working on different types of plays and positions that will help make them a good defensive player. 

Week 6 : 6 on 5/5 Meters
July 29 - August 2
Focus on basics of water polo taught in week one, as well as working on different types of plays and positions for both offense and defense when up/down on a 6 on 5. We will also work on 5 meter penalty shots including technique and how to draw a 5 meter in play.
