Junior Golf Camp

Whether your player is swinging the club for the first time, or looking to refine their skills the Canyon Lake Golf & Country Club's Junior Golf Camp is a fun way for kids to develop a lifelong skill in the game of golf. Kid-friendly competitions and on-course learning keep campers engaged each day, and by the end of the week, players will have learned fundamental skills, etiquette, rules and sportsmanship. Free Concert Tonight at Holiday Harbor

The Canyon Lake Fine Arts Guild is celebrating summer with a free concert tonight, June 22, at on the upper area of Holiday Harbor. The concert will feature "The Rocktops" classic rock band and the show will start at dusk. This is also a great opportunity to see the progress at the new amphitheater.

July 4th Holiday Harbor Table Lottery

Reminder, the lottery for Holiday Harbor Table Reservations on July 4th is tomorrow, Saturday, June 23 at 9 a.m. at the CLPOA Office in the City Chambers on the lower level. Members who registered for a chance to win must be present at this lottery for a chance to win.

July STEM Camps

Educate your kids in the fast growing STEM industry!  STEM camps foster valuable 21st-Century life skills like problem-solving, creativity, and collaboration. There will be two different classes: Battlebots (limited space) for children ages 7 to 12 and Jurrasic Robots for children ages 5 to 8. Camps will run from July 2 through July 6 (no class on July 4). Junior Pickleball Clinic Starts June 25

The Canyon Lake Pickleball Club is hosting a Junior Pickleball Clinic June 25 through June 29 for children ages 10 to 17. Registration is $5 and space is limited to only 40 children (parents are asked to accompany their children). Project Updates

Holiday Harbor Work

Work continues at Holiday Harbor with more progress made towards building the new Marine Patrol building. This building is anticipated to be completed this summer. It will replace the trailer that the CLPOA currently leases. 

Meanwhile, the amphitheater is near completion. City requirements have delayed the final inspection beyond the proposed event date, however, the project is still on track to be completed this summer.

Mailbox Replacement Group 3 Starts June 25

A new set of mailbox replacements will begin on June 25. This will be the third group. Mail delivery will cease to locations in this group on Friday, June 22. Mail can be picked up from the USPS Sun City Post Office located on Haun Road. Starting Monday, June 25 residents in this group may pick up their new mailbox keys at the CLPOA's Operations office located at 29081 Longhorn Drive

No Fishing Off Main Causeway

The CLPOA's Board recently approved changes to General Rule, Section 4.4, Fishing Is Prohibited By Land On The Main Causeway. The newly adopted rule states: Fishing is prohibited by land on the Main Causeway (East and West side), the North Causeway (North and South side) between both parking lot entries, and the Treasure Island Causeway. Fishing is also prohibited from all common docks when boats and / or swimmers are present.

Rule Change for Slow Moving Crafts on Lake

The CLPOA's Board recently approved removing the Lake & Marina, Section 8.4 Rule Windsurfers, Pedal Boats, & Paddle Boards Access. This rule stated "Windsurfers, pedal boats, and paddle boards are allowed in all five mile per hour less areas." Further, there is currently a 30 Day Reading to modify Lake & Marina, Section 6.14 Rowboats and/or Slow Moving Craft Required to Stay Close to Shoreline. The proposed rule change states "When motorized boats are present in the 35 mph zones, slow moving craft are required to stay within 100 feet of the shoreline. Slow moving craft are allowed within all 5 mph zones."
