July 4th Fireworks 

July 4th is one of the Canyon Lake's busiest holidays. The population soars by thousands as residents celebrate Independence Day. Plus, Canyon Lake has arguably the best fireworks show in the entire county of Riverside which makes it an even more attractive destination for our residents and their guests. This means that the community will be very busy on this festive holiday. Please take the time to read through our July 4th holiday tips and reminders page to help ensure everyone has a fun and safe holiday.

July 4 - Holiday Harbor

Pool Activities & Holiday Hours

On July 4 the pool will close early, at 8 p.m., for the fireworks show. Open swim hours on that day only will be from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. All activities at the pool including swim lessons, water polo, and water aerobics are also canceled on the holiday. 

Swim lessons and water polo classes are on break the first week of July. There will be no classes July 2 through July 6. Classes will resume on Monday, July 9.

STEM Camps Start July 2

Educate your kids in the fast growing STEM industry!  STEM camps foster valuable 21st-Century life skills like problem-solving, creativity, and collaboration.  This camp will run from July 2 through July 6 (no class on July 4). There are two different classes: Battlebots (limited space) which is 9 a.m .to 12 p.m. and for children age 7 to 12 and Jurassic Robots from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. for children ages 5 to 8.

Junior Golf Camp Starts July 9

Whether your player is swinging the club for the first time, or looking to refine their skills the Canyon Lake Golf & Country Club's Junior Golf Camp is a fun way for kids to develop a lifelong skill in the game of golf. Kid-friendly competitions and on-course learning keep campers engaged each day, and by the end of the week, players will have learned fundamental skills, etiquette, rules and sportsmanship.

Board Meeting - July 9

The CLPOA's next Regular Session Board Meeting is on Monday, July 9 at  7 p.m. at the Lodge. Regular Session Board Meetings are open meetings but only for Canyon Lake homeowners. Please be sure to bring your CLPOA ID card as you will be asked to show it. These meetings are also televised live on the City's PEG Channel (Frontier 39 or Spectrum 29) and on the CLPOA's website.

Rule Change for Slow Moving Crafts on Lake

The CLPOA's Board recently approved removing the Lake & Marina, Section 8.4 Rule Windsurfers, Pedal Boats, & Paddle Boards Access. This rule stated "Windsurfers, pedal boats, and paddle boards are allowed in all five mile per hour less areas." Further, there is currently a 30 Day Reading to modify Lake & Marina, Section 6.14 Rowboats and/or Slow Moving Craft Required to Stay Close to Shoreline. The proposed rule change states "When motorized boats are present in the 35 mph zones, slow moving craft are required to stay within 100 feet of the shoreline. Slow moving craft are allowed within all 5 mph zones."
