Martins Landing Dedication
Don and Elinor Martin were joined by their family, friends and guests of the Menifee Historical Society, Menifee Mayor and Historical Society Board Member Bill Zimmerman, and CLPOA Board Members Dale Welty, Jim Barringham, and Phil Hawgood, amongst others at this ceremony. Pictured above is the Martin family with CLPOA General Manager, Eric Kazakoff.

Martins Landing Dedication Ceremony

On Thursday, October 25, the CLPOA proudly presented Don and Elinor Martin with a new historical marker near the volleyball courts at Holiday Harbor Park. This monument is in honor of the Martin family, Evans Fish Camp, and Martin's Landing. The Martins are truly the pioneers of this beautiful community we all live in and enjoy.  Elinor is the granddaughter of Henry Evan's who purchased the land Canyon Lake sits on in 1890. Her family owned and operated Evan's Fish Camp and then went on to run Martins Landing which was home of the Canyon Queen tour boat, the Village Store and Marina.

Canyon Lake Golf & Country Club Improvements

For the second year in a row, major improvements have been made to the Canyon Lake Golf & Country Club during the overseeding closure. Some improvements this year include, new furnishings in the men's and women's locker rooms, a new dance floor, new ceiling and wall fans, major freezer and kitchen improvements, painting, new light fixtures,  decor, new LED rope lighting on the deck,  etc.

Staff and contractors worked very hard to once again get a lot done in very short time. The Country Club Bar & Grill will be open tomorrow Saturday, October 27 at 9 a.m. and the course will have a soft-opening manufacturers demo day on the same day. The course is in amazing condition so come check it out!
