Missing Persons

Only two more weeks to get your tickets to the first concert of the year featuring Missing Persons, a popular 80's new wave band. Best known for such songs as “Mental Hopscotch,” “Surrender Your Heart,” “Words” and “Walking in L.A.”  The opening act for this show will be Makayla Phillips, who won the golden buzzer on America's Got Talent, season 13.

This special Valentine's concert is on Saturday, February 9. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the show starts at 7:30 p.m.Tickets are limited, so get yours now before it's too late!

Food Drive for Government Employees

The Canyon Lake POA and City of Canyon Lake are partnering to assist Helping Hands gather food to help government employees affected by the government shut-down. Those who would like to assist are asked to drop off non-perishable foods such as dry cereal and canned vegetables in gray receptacles that will be located at Canyon Lake POA Office, Canyon Lake City Hall, Pack, Wrap & Post, and Canyon Lake Community Church.

Food collected will be distributed to government employees until the shut-down ends and they begin receiving paychecks again. If you are in need of food please visit the Helping Hands website, www.helpinghandsgroup.us.

Try Chair Yoga

Try out Canyon Lake's newest class, Chair Yoga, offered Saturdays at 8 a.m. at the Senior Center. Chair Yoga is a gentle form of yoga that is practiced while sitting on a chair, or standing using a chair for support. With the assistance of a chair, adults can practice yoga with the added benefits of increased circulation, balance, flexibility, mobility, and strength. This class is taught by Canyon Lake resident Linda Brito. Classes are $25 for five classes. First class is free! You can purchase class punch-cards at the Canyon Lake POA office

Fish Out of Water Aerobics Class

Missing Water Aerobics at the pool? Join our Fish Out of Water Fitness class! This class is taught by our Water Aerobics instructor Susie Bennett and it is an energetic, upbeat aerobics class that is sure to keep you moving. It is a great workout for all levels of fitness enthusiasts. Classes are available at 8:30 a.m. and 7 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays in the Pool View Room at the Canyon Lake Lodge. Classes are only $2 per class, you can use your Water Aerobics punch card. Fine Arts Guild Concerts 

The Canyon Lake Fine Arts Guild has announced its 2019 lineup, including four concerts at the Canyon Lake Lodge and two free summer concerts at the new amphitheater at Holiday Harbor Park. The schedule of tribute performers is Garth Brooks on March 16, Frank Sinatra on May 17, Doobie Brothers on September 7 and Neil Diamond on October 19. The two free summer concerts are a Jimmy Buffett tribute on June 29 and The Rolling Stones tribute on August 10. 

Ticket prices are $25 General Admission and $45 VIP Reserved Seating. Information and tickets are available on the Guild's website, www.canyonlakeguild.org.

Intent to Run Forms Available 1/28

Canyon Lake POA members interested in running for the Board of Directors may pick up the Intent to Run Form beginning January 28 at the Canyon Lake POA's Corporate office.  Three of the five seats on the Board will be up for election in May 2019. Intent to Run Forms must be completed and returned to Clerk of the Board, Harmony McNaughton, no later than March 1, 2019.

Board Workshops - Budget Review

The Canyon Lake POA will hold two Board Workshops to review and discuss the 2019/20 Budget. These workshops will be on a Wednesday, February 6 and Wednesday, February 13. Both workshops are scheduled at the Canyon Lake Lodge and in the evening at 6 p.m. 

Canyon Lake homeowners are welcome to attend Board Workshops and are reminded to bring their Canyon Lake POA ID card, as it may be used to verify membership.

Have You Heard About Guest ePasses?

Guest access into Canyon Lake just got easier with dwellingLIVE's ePass option!  This new feature gives members the option to email a guest pass to their guest to help expedite entry. Once the ePass is sent, please encourage your guest to print the pass before arrival. If your guest is unable to print the ePass, he/she can display the pass on a smartphone where gate staff will scan it to confirm the validity. As always, staff will verify that the driver’s license matches the name on the ePass.

Get Your RFID Transponder Now

The Canyon Lake POA is moving towards implementing RFID technology at all gates. RFID transponders are free for all Canyon Lake residents. To get your RFID transponder, please visit the Member Services office during regular business hours (Monday - Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.) with your current vehicle registration and the vehicle in which you need the transponder for.  For more information contact Member Services office at 951.244.6841 x310 or visit during regular business hours.

RFID transponders will soon be mandatory for all Canyon Lake resident vehicles. Please come get yours as soon as possible.
