Ralph Breaks the Internet

Join us for another fun Movies in the Park Night next Friday, July 19 at Holiday Harbor Park. We will be showing Ralph Breaks the Internet (rated PG), the sequel to the hit Disney movie Wreck It Ralph.This time, video game bad guy Ralph and fellow misfit Vanellope von Schweetz risk it all traveling to the World Wide Web to find a replacement part to save Vanellope's video game.  

This is a free event for Canyon Lake POA members and their guests. Bring your favorite blankets and beach chairs. The movie will begin at dusk at the amphitheater.

Baseball & Beyond Starts Monday


Camp Full - Waiting List Available

Canyon Lake's newest camp, Baseball & Beyond starts on Monday! The camp is being led by Canyon Lake resident and former Major League Baseball player Bobby Kielty. This camp will take place daily through July 19 at Gault Field from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. each day. The emphasis of the camp will be baseball, but it will be a fun week of fitness inspired activities and water play.

Registration is full, but children can be added to the waiting list up until 2 p.m. on Saturday at the Canyon Lake POA office. The camp is $100 per child, for children ages 9 through 12.

Tuesdays Are Better With Tacos! 

Taco Tuesdays at the Lodge are still in full swing! Along with delicious food, the Family Matters Club is sponsoring a new water slide each week, and the Yacht Club is selling ice cream in the Sunset Beach Room.  Plus, there is variety of vendors, kids activities, snacks for sale (by the Family Matters Club) and DJ Mike Shroyer playing your favorite tunes.

Taco Tuesday can get very busy making parking limited at the Lodge. The Canyon Lake POA offers a free golf cart shuttle service that will loop around Canyon Club Drive and Lighthouse Drive for those who may have to park further away.

Important Lake Reminders


With the busy summer season under way, we want to remind members of some of the lake boating rules.  Please note, violation of these rules will result in fines and possibly revocation of boating privileges. 

LM.6.7: Main Lake ski area, North Lake ski area, and Jump Lagoon have a speed limit of thirty-five (35) miles per hour during almanac hours sunrise to sunset,
five (5) miles per hour during almanac hours sunset to sunrise and during times of restricted visibility. 

East Bay, coves, and all other areas: five (5) miles per hour / no wake at all times. 
Fine is $100 per occurrence.

LM.6.22: No boats shall be allowed to anchor, drift, or come to rest in between the center line buoys or within twenty (20) feet of any buoy in the East Bay. Fine is $100 per occurrence.  

LM.7.3: No person shall operate any vessel or any other water device in a reckless or negligent manner so as to endanger the life, limb or property of any person. This includes, but is not limited to, riding on the bow, gunwale, or transom of a vessel underway, entering a marked swim area or creating excessive wakes. Fine is $500 per occurrence. 

LM.9.20: No wake enhancing devices of any type (including those installed by a manufacturer or owner) will be allowed to be used on any boat operating on Main Lake or Jump Lagoon. This restriction does not apply to the North Ski Area. Any boat that appears to be producing an excessive wake will be investigated. Those boats using wake enhancement devices may be cited. Fine is $100 per occurrence. 


Cool Off at the Pool

Warmer weather is here and the pool at the Lodge is a great place to cool off. Note, use of the pool is for the entire community, however, you must be a member and be in good standing to use the pool. Canyon Lake POA ID cards are required to access the pool. Open swim hours Sunday through Thursday are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and the pool is open until 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.

RFID Free for Canyon Lake Residents! 

Did you know an estimated 12,000 vehicles come through the gates every day? The most efficient way for members to enter the community is with an RFID transponder affixed to their vehicle. The transponder allows vehicles to use the RFID lanes, which are much quicker. RFID transponders are free for all Canyon Lake POA members!
