Canyon Lake POA Introduces New Service


Have you noticed a broken light at the park or pesky pot hole on your street? Do you need to appeal a citation or get a copy of your ACC application? Members now have easy access to these requests without having to come into the office.   

Simply go to www.clpoa.com/requestracker.aspx (or click the button below) and there you will find multiple ways that you can reach out to the Canyon Lake POA. In the coming months, there are plans on expanding request types to offer even more ways for members to connect with the Canyon Lake POA.

Drawing, Coloring & Crafts Art Class

There's still time to sign your child up for the new Drawing, Coloring & Crafts after school art class instructed by Bigfoot Graphics. This class will run on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. September 17 through September 26 at Eastport Activity Room. 

The class is for children ages 8 to 13 and the cost is $65 per child. To register your child visit the Canyon Lake POA's Member Services office by Monday, September 16.

Mermaid Festival - Sept. 21

Join the Canyon Lake Woman's Club at their annual Mermaid Festival on Saturday, September 21 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Indian Beach. Festivities include the popular Cardboard Boat Race, pirate, mermaid and knobby knees contests, food, vendors, music and more. Plus, there will be a pirate ship battle on the lake courtesy of the Canyon Lake Yacht Club. Make this an event you don't miss!

AARP Driving Course - Sept. 28

Want to refresh your driving skills and possibly even help you save on your auto insurance? Take the AARP Smart Driver™ course at the Senior Center on Saturday, September 28 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. AARP members can take the course at a discounted rate of $15, and non-members may take the course for $20.  Registration is required and can be done by calling 951.244.6841 x610 or visiting the Canyon Lake POA Member Services office.

Participate in the Car Show! 

Do you own a pre-1977 vehicle? Consider joining the Canyon Lake Car Show. On Saturday, October 5 more than 200 vintage classic and custom vehicles will be on display overlooking Canyon Lake's scenic lake in one the area's most unique car events.

Anyone with a pre-1977 vehicle is welcome to participate. Participants do not need to be part of the Canyon Lake Car Club or a resident of Canyon Lake to participate. Registration is $30 and early registration is recommended. Registration forms can be found on the Canyon Lake Car Club's website or picked up at the Canyon Lake POA's Member Services office.

Pool September Hours

Pool hours changed on September 2. The pool is now open daily from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. for lap swim and water aerobics. Open swim is open daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. 

Water Aerobics is also on new hours. Classes are Monday through Friday at 8:30 a.m. and Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday at 7 p.m. Water Aerobic classes are $2.50 per class, $20 for 10 classes or $30 for one month of unlimited classes. Special Election Approved

The Board approved proceeding with a special election at their September 3 Regular Session Board Meeting. The special election ballot measures will include: 

  • Remove Proxy Voting [Articles of Incorporation]
  • Remove Cumulative Voting [Bylaws]
  • Extend Future Board Director Terms to Four Years (eliminates the need for director elections every year [Bylaws]
  • Modify 5-foot Fence Height Restriction [CC&Rs]
  • Empower ACC to select and designate appropriate roofing materials to modify roof material [CC&Rs]
Notices of the annual election, election schedule, and ballot materials will be announced and mailed to members once the election date is selected.

RFID Free for Canyon Lake Residents! 

Did you know an estimated 12,000 vehicles come through the gates every day? The most efficient way for members to enter the community is with an RFID transponder affixed to their vehicle. The transponder allows vehicles to use the RFID lanes, which are much quicker. RFID transponders are free for all Canyon Lake POA members!
