Board Vacancy Update

Following the recent vacancy on the Canyon Lake POA Board of Directors, the Board opened an application period to provide interested members of the community with the opportunity to be considered for appointment to the vacant seat. The application period has now concluded, and the Board has begun the process of reviewing applicants and selecting a candidate to fill the position.

Candidate Background Information

Eight community members submitted applications for consideration. The names of the applicants and their background information are provided below. Thank you to all members who expressed interest in serving the community and participating in this process.

Claude Beauchamp

Claude Beauchamp brings more than 30 years of finance and cost management experience, along with extensive community association leadership through seven years of HOA board service, six years on the Canyon Lake Finance Committee, including three as Chair, and participation on the Reserves Subcommittee. His strong background in financial oversight, reserve planning, fiscal accountability, and governance would provide valuable experience and insight to the Canyon Lake POA Board of Directors.

Brett Charest

Brett Charest is a Canyon Lake homeowner, local business owner, and CEO with more than 20 years of experience leading organizations, managing budgets, analyzing financial performance, negotiating contracts, and maintaining corporate compliance. His expertise in fiduciary oversight, data-driven decision-making, strategic planning, and operational accountability would bring valuable business and financial leadership to the Canyon Lake POA Board of Directors.

Brad Cunningham

Brad Cunningham brings extensive executive leadership experience as a CEO and senior executive for national and international consumer brands, with expertise in strategic planning, financial oversight, business development, capital investments, and organizational growth. His service on the Canyon Lake Finance Committee and more than 15 years of homeowners association governance experience, including serving as President and Director of the Malibu Homeowners Association, provide a strong foundation in fiduciary responsibility, community leadership, and long-range planning.

Harold Larson

Harold Larson brings decades of leadership, purchasing, and operations experience, including service as a Purchasing Agent for Southern California Edison, prior HOA board experience, and military service in the United States Marine Corps. His long-standing commitment to Canyon Lake is demonstrated through his service on multiple committees and six years as President of CLAMS, reflecting a strong dedication to community involvement, volunteerism, and resident advocacy.

Alexander Nettles

Alexander Nettles brings more than 11 years of leadership experience in operations management, project management, and customer-focused technology solutions, with a strong record of improving processes, leading teams, and managing complex initiatives. His analytical mindset, business operations experience, and collaborative approach would provide valuable perspective and practical problem-solving skills to the Canyon Lake POA Board of Directors.

Eddie Reyes

Eddie Reyes brings more than four decades of business and sales management experience, along with a long-standing commitment to Canyon Lake as a resident since 2009 and an active participant in numerous community organizations and activities. His service on the Greens Committee, including his current role as Secretary, combined with his broad business background and understanding of community amenities, would provide a practical and member-focused perspective to the Canyon Lake POA Board of Directors.

Steven Roseman

Steven Roseman brings more than 30 years of leadership experience in real estate, business law, and community association governance, representing homeowner's associations throughout California while serving in numerous board, commission, and industry leadership roles. His extensive expertise in governance, legal compliance, strategic planning, and common interest developments would provide exceptional knowledge and guidance to the Canyon Lake POA Board of Directors.

Joseph Sabolick, Ph.D.

Joseph Sabolick, Ph.D., brings extensive executive, board, and organizational leadership experience, supported by advanced degrees in business administration, psychology, and philosophy, and a strong background in financial oversight, strategic planning, auditing, and operational management. His experience serving on multiple boards, implementing financial controls, and promoting transparency, accountability, and effective governance would provide valuable leadership and stewardship to the Canyon Lake POA Board of Directors.
