The Canyon Lake Property Owners Association (Canyon Lake POA) is currently accepting applications for a full-time position in the Planning & Compliance department.

Position Details

POSITION TYPE: Full time Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
STARTING PAY RATE: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour depending on experience
BENEFITS: Eligible

Summary

The Planning and Compliance Generalist will perform the primary services associated with CC&R enforcement and architectural control. They will respond to members’ inquiries and requests for planning and compliance approvals. Also works with civic officials and ACC committee members on issues of planning and compliance with the CC&R provisions.

Essential Duties

  • Responsible for knowing the provisions of the CC&Rs and relevant civil codes involved in building, maintaining, and modifying member properties within the Community.
  • Meets with members with questions and complaints regarding CC&R enforcement and architectural issues. Answers questions, explains CC&R provisions, and engages in problem solving. Diffuses difficult situations such as disciplinary issues with members as necessary to help members come to a resolve.
  • Processes routine correspondence relating to CC&R violations and architectural control matters.
  • Answers and screens phone calls for the Planning and Compliance Department, assisting the caller in whatever manner is appropriate to the compliance and enforcement issue.

Requirements

  • Graduation from high school
  • Word processing/data entry skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, which includes Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Ability to compose letters
  • Ability to type 50 words per minute
  • Friendly customer service skills for telephone, and public contact
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to read blueprints preferred; aptitude required
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time
  • Good driving record
  • Must successfully pass a background check and substance abuse screening
