Being safe around water is a lifelong skill you can learn at any age, whether it's at a pool or walking on the beach. Take advantage of swimming lessons at the pool this summer! There are different levels for beginners to experienced swimmers to perfect their stroke.

  • $85 first week/child
  • $55 for second week/additional child
  • Third week is FREE! (one free week per family)
  • Additional weeks are $50

Water polo lessons at the pool are designed to introduce the sport of water polo to swimmers. Participants will enjoy learning the basic skills and understanding of the sport in a recreational format. New swimmers can join any week.

Week 1: Basics
June 14 - June 18
Learn to egg beat, basic positioning, basic passing, and shooting forms, as well as essential water polo lingo/communication.

Week 2: Passing
June 21 - June 25
Focus on basics of water polo taught in Week 1 and working on all types of passing. i.e., cross face, long/short-range, no look, wet/dry etc.

Week 3: Shooting
June 28 - July 2
Focus on water polo basics taught in Week 1 and working on all types of shooting and proper form, i.e., cross-cage, strong side, wet shots, and shots from set.

Week 4: Offense
July 5 - July 9
Focus on basics of water polo taught in Week 1 and working on different types of plays and positions to make them a better offensive player.

Week 5: Defense
July 12 - July 16
Focus on basics of water polo taught in Week 1 and working on different types of plays and positions to make them a better defensive player.

Week 6 : 6 on 5/5 Meters
July 19 - July 23
Focus on basics of water polo taught in Week 1 and working on different types of offensive and defensive plays and positions when up/down on a 6 on 5. We will also work on 5-meter penalty shots, including technique and how to draw a 5-meter in play.
