Canyon Lake 9er's Golf Club
Student/Athlete Scholarships
The Canyon Lake community’s graduating seniors and continuing college students have an opportunity to invest in their future, thanks to the Canyon Lake 9er’s Golf Club. The club is proud to offer scholarships to deserving student-athletes who are ready to further their education. Through this scholarship program, the 9er’s continue their tradition of supporting both education and athletics within the community.
To qualify, applicants must be residents of Canyon Lake, graduating from high school and enrolling in a full-time post-secondary education program, or currently enrolled full-time in a post-secondary program and continuing their education. Applicants must have a minimum 3.5 high school GPA and be active in school sports and community service.
Exciting news! The 9er’s are proud to announce a new scholarship opportunity for full-time students pursuing a skilled trade or vocational education, with a minimum 2.5 high school GPA.
The application form must be completed and submitted by May 3, 2026. To submit an online application, PLEASE CLICK HERE. Students are encouraged to apply early and ensure all required documents — high school transcripts, an acceptance letter from the institution they will be attending, two letters of recommendation (one from a teacher and one from a coach), a “brag” sheet, and an essay — are submitted by the deadline. Marketing flyers with a QR code will be distributed to high schools in the area so students can easily access the information and application. Additionally, the Canyon Lake Golf Club will have the flyer available in the Pro Shop.
The Canyon Lake 9er’s Golf Club is honored to play a small role in supporting our community’s young leaders. The club raises funds through events like the St. Patrick’s Shenanigans Golf Tournament. Since 2017, the 9er’s have raised approximately $100,000. Every dollar, minus tournament expenses, goes back to the community through these scholarships.
