Movie at the Pool on Saturday!

Dive into fun with Movie Nights at the Pool! This event is free and exclusively for Canyon Lake POA members and their guests. The movie starts at dusk, and the pool opens approximately an hour beforehand for movie-goers. So float on over with your favorite inflatable and enjoy a movie in the water! Please remember that all pool rules apply during this event.

PROJECT UPDATES

Lodge Project Update

This week, crews continued working on the firepit, fountain, and planter. Indoors, the granite countertops in the bar are now installed, and the floor tiling is nearly complete. Bar equipment is installed and hooked up. We are still in the first phase, focusing on the exterior patio and bar area. Phase 2 is the restaurant area, and Phase 3 is the lounge/dance floor. Dividing the project into these three phases allows the least disruption to the restaurant and bar functions so that the restaurant may remain open during construction. The renovation will not affect concerts and events in the Holiday Bay Room. We intend to keep the restaurant and bar open as much as possible throughout the construction.

Solar Project Update at Golf Course

The solar structures over the driving range at the Golf Course are complete, and at the July Regular Session Board Meeting the Board approved funding to restore the driving range area. The area under the solar structures needs immediate repairs to return to normal operating conditions. This project will repair the original driving range grass area with new surfaces better suited for shade, leisure, and enjoyment.

Lake Location Markers

Have you ever noticed the large letter signs that can be seen on the lake at several of the beaches and parks around the community? These letter signs are actually Emergency Locations Markers (ELM's) with latitude and longitude coordinates attached to them. The letters go from A to O, and the locations of each letter were coordinated with the assistance of the City of Canyon Lake and the Canyon Lake Fire Station. Residents who have an emergency at a park or on the lake can refer to the letter when they call 9-1-1. The letters are stored in the Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system so that the location can be determined quickly.

Current E-bike Rules

E-bikes have rapidly gained popularity as a convenient and enjoyable mode of transportation in Canyon Lake. However, just like any other form of transportation, it's essential to be aware of rules related to riding e-bikes that will help you stay safe while enjoying your e-bike.

Canyon Lake allows e-bikes that have pedals and pedal assist functionality, a max speed of 20 MPH, and a 750W or less motor (GR.5.2a). Riders under 18 must wear helmets, motorized/non-motorized (GR.5.1j), and all riders must stop for stop signs and school bus signals (GR.5.1n). Additionally, riders should not cross double-yellow lines (GR.5.1p). The curfew for minors (under 18) is 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., and the prime member is responsible for any behavior and actions of minors (GR.2.11). Further, possession of alcohol by minors anywhere or open containers by any person in a vehicle (including golf carts) is prohibited (GR.2.20). Lastly, speed contests and exhibitions are not permitted (GR.5.1k). Fines for all of these violations range from $50 to $600.

Golf Cart Reminder

We want to ensure the safety of everyone in our community, and that includes those who operate golf carts. As a reminder, any golf cart operator must carry a valid Driver's License while driving (GR.5.6f), there is a $100 fine associated with violating this rule.  Underage golf cart driving is a common occurrence in the community and can be very dangerous. The Canyon Lake POA Board takes safety seriously and as such our Community Patrol strictly enforces this rule. Parents, please help us promote responsible behavior. Let's work together to create a safer environment for all golf cart users and residents.

Permanent Guest List Update

Effective August 31, the Canyon Lake POA is clearing all current permanent guests. On September 1, members can add new permanent guests to ensure the list is up-to-date and reflects desired guests in the community. We encourage you to utilize the new permanent guest list feature in your dwellingLIVE app or website account to manage your permanent guest list conveniently. Alternatively, you can visit the Canyon Lake POA Member Services office for assistance. Permanent guests do not have an expiration. However, guest passes are only issued for up to 10 days.

Service Providers Reminder

Please utilize the 'Srvc Provider' Pass Type when adding any entity or individual that offers temporary services to homeowners in the community. They do not have access to amenities or facilities and should park near the homeowner’s address they are serving. Service providers are limited to up to 10 days community access.

Examples of service providers may be DoorDash, contractors, Uber, Lyft, HVAC services, plumbing services, pizza deliveries, furniture deliveries, etc.
