Gault Field Lighting Upgrade

Project Overview

This summer, we are replacing the aging lights and 40-year-old wooden poles at Gault Field with new energy-efficient LED lighting. The expedited replacement was approved in March after inspections by Canyon Lake POA staff and the Facilities Planning Committee. Just days later, high winds caused one of the old poles to fall, reinforcing the need for this upgrade.

We have secured the necessary building permits and are currently awaiting material deliveries. Installation is planned for after the current sports season when the fields are not in use. The project is expected to save over $30,000 annually in energy and maintenance! Thank you for your patience as we complete this important upgrade to support youth sports and recreation.

Project Funding & Approval

The Board of Directors approved the funding for this project at $556,824 plus permit fees and a 5% contingency from the Reserve Fund at the March 4, 2025 Regular Session Board Meeting.
