Michael Sturdivan
Equestrian Center Manager
Michael Sturdivan is an accomplished manager with over 15 years of experience in various fields, most notably on ranches and among horses.
Michael joined the Canyon Lake POA in 2025, bringing a wealth of hands-on experience to his role. As the Equestrian Center Manager, he oversees the safety and care of the horses, as well as the property and facilities. Daily upkeep of the Equestrian Center is a constant operation that Michael more than readily meets. His primary concerns are the safety of the horses and the quality of their feed, ensuring the horses are consistently happy. His approach is centered on not only treating the horses with respect but his employees and the horse owners as well.
Prior to joining Canyon Lake, Michael managed a 350-acre facility out in Texas for six years and served as an assistant manager for four years beforehand. He has been around horses and ranches since he was born and has owned over seven horses in his lifetime. Years as a polo player overseas and as a competitor in roping competitions in Texas and throughout the U.S. have only strengthened his ties to all things equestrian.
Michael's long-term goal is to make the Equestrian Center a happy, fun-loving place for horses, owners, and employees alike. With the newly installed arena footing and the formation of the new Equestrian Work Group, he believes the center is undergoing a fresh start with daily improvements.
