Steve Schneider serves as the Director of Operations for the Canyon Lake POA, where he oversees one of the organization's largest departments and is responsible for the maintenance, renovation, and construction of community amenities and infrastructure. Since joining the organization, Steve has built a strong reputation for successfully managing complex capital improvement projects that enhance the quality of life for Canyon Lake residents while maintaining a focus on efficiency, long-term sustainability, and responsible stewardship of community resources.

With a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering Technology from California State University and more than two decades of experience in construction and engineering management, Steve brings extensive technical expertise and leadership experience to his role. He is also a Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA®) and a California Certified Community Association Manager – Large Scale (CCAM-LS®), demonstrating his commitment to professional development and excellence in community association management.

As Director of Operations, Steve oversees project planning, budgeting, contract administration, vendor coordination, construction management, and departmental operations. His expertise includes developing Requests for Proposals (RFPs), contract review and negotiation, scheduling, trade coordination, quality control, and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable standards.

Under Steve's leadership, Canyon Lake has completed numerous transformative projects that have modernized community amenities and infrastructure. Notable accomplishments include the development of Vacation Park, the Lodge Renovation Project, the Solar Project, the Golf Course Lake Renovation, Pickleball Courts, Canyon Lake Drive median improvements, the Main Gate Repavement Project, multiple community-wide pavement improvement and seal coating programs, the Tennis Court Resurfacing Project, Gault Field Lighting Upgrade, North Ski Dock Replacement, the Tennis Shade Project, and a variety of park enhancements including shade structures, restroom facilities, parking improvements, and other infrastructure upgrades throughout the community.

Steve is recognized for his ability to successfully manage multiple large-scale projects simultaneously while leading a diverse team of employees, contractors, consultants, and vendors. His strategic approach, technical knowledge, and dedication to continuous improvement have played a significant role in enhancing Canyon Lake's facilities and infrastructure. The extensive portfolio of projects completed under his leadership reflects his commitment to preserving, improving, and modernizing community assets for current and future residents.
