Welcome to the Fiesta Parade, a wonderful event that brings our community together to celebrate patriotism, honor the memory of those who served in the U.S. Armed Forces, and embrace our community's theme of Lake Life! We kindly ask all members of our community to join us in respecting the intention behind this treasured celebration that is a non-partisan and non-political event.
Only pre-registered parade entries are permitted in the parade. All applications and hold harmless forms must be turned in by May 15, 2023 in order to participate. Late entries will not be accepted.

We kindly request that all parade entries be decorated with Memorial Day in mind, incorporating red, white, and blue colors, military-inspired or patriotic themes and decorations.

Parade Rules & Regulations
1. Parade Contact & Communication: The contact person listed on the Fiesta Day Parade Application will be the sole point of contact for parade information. Multiple group entries with different contact names are not allowed.
2. Parade Route & Decorations: The parade route is determined by the Activities department. All parade entries must be decorated with a patriotic or Fiesta theme. Decorations must be family-friendly and appropriate for all ages.
3. Guidelines for Parade Entries: The parade is not to be used for political purposes, and entries with political or controversial content will be eliminated. Commercial/business participants are allowed, but soliciting is prohibited. Parade entries must follow Cal Fire regulations and comply with common decency standards.
4. Parade Operations & Logistics: Parade participants must stay together and not pull ahead or fall behind their group. Unloading and parking must be done on designated areas, not in the middle of the road. Candy/items must be thrown away from the vehicle/float, and vehicles/golf carts must travel in the center of the street.
5. Compliance & Conduct: All applications are subject to review and approval, and the organizers reserve the right to deny access to any entry that doesn't comply with guidelines. Failure to comply with rules or verbal abuse towards event staff may result in disqualification and removal from the event. Participants are expected to be respectful towards others during the event.

I understand that I am responsible for notifying my group of participants of these rules & guidelines and if found to be in violation, it may result in disqualification/removal from the day's event and future Fiesta events.

Assumption of Risk, Waiver, Release & Indemnification
Assumption of Risk: I/we am participating voluntarily in a Group/Club/Committee Activity or Event and I/we fully understand that there are risk and hazard to my person or other persons, or our property, associated with such participation. I/we voluntarily assume all such risks including injury, death or property damage on behalf of myself and any minor for whom I have given consent. I/we have consulted my physician to confirm I am healthy enough to participate in this event or hereby assume the risk of participating without my physician’s advice. I/we agree to abide by all rules, regulations and instructions for the Activity or Event.
Release & Indemnification: In consideration of such participation in the Activity or Event, on behalf of myself and any minor for whom I have given consent, I hereby release, discharge in advance, indemnify, defend and hold the Canyon Lake Property Owners Association and the City of Canyon Lake and their officers, agents, employees and authorized volunteers, free and harmless from and against any and all liabilities, demands, costs or claims for damages, personal injury, death or property damage (whether to me, or to third parties, and including but not limited to attorney’s fees and costs) which I or the minor may have, or which may hereafter accrue to any of us, against any of them, as a result of my/our participation in the Activity or Event.

By typing your name in the box below, you agree and acknowledge that 1) your application will not be signed in the sense of a traditional paper document, 2) you are providing is accurate and that you agree to provide this information to the Canyon Lake Property Owners Association in compliance with Civil Code Section 4041, 3) by signing in this alternate manner, you authorize your electronic signature to be valid and binding upon you to the same force and effect as a handwritten signature, and 4) you may still be required to provide a traditional signature at a later date.
