Emergency E-bike Variance

Today in Board Orientation, the Board of Directors passed an emergency resolution temporarily banning e-bikes at the Canyon Lake Lodge and Holiday Harbor for 60 days. During this period, e-bikes may only be walked through these areas—riding is not permitted.

Memorial Day Weekend
Lake Conditions Update

On May 12, 2025, as part of our standard pre-major holiday testing protocol, water samples were collected from Happy Camp, Holiday Harbor, Indian Beach, Sierra Park, and Sunset Beach and tested for hazardous/toxic algae. No toxins or hazardous algae were detected. The lake remains open for boating and recreational use.

While final water quality and fish toxicology results are still pending, we recommend the following precautions if you choose to enter or use the lake until further notice:

• Do not eat any fish caught in Canyon Lake.
• If you choose to enter the water, please do so with caution and rinse off with soap and water afterward to avoid skin or eye irritation.
• Avoid ingesting or drinking lake water.

CountryFest Access

Are you ready for the country music event of the year? CountryFest rides into town showcasing four major national country headliners this Sunday, May 25, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Holiday Harbor. As you dust off your cowboy boots and pull out those Stetsons, we would like to inform you of some important access notices for this event.
 
Make use of our complimentary shuttle services to avoid the hassle of traffic and parking! Parking will not be available in the Holiday Harbor parking lot, but our shuttle services will run from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. to get you and your guests to Holiday Harbor and back again. Shuttle stops will be at the following locations:
 
• Blue Bird Hall
• Eastport
• Gault Field
• Lodge
• Holiday Harbor
 
The Holiday Harbor parking lot will be available for boat parking only; no vehicles or golf carts will be permitted when the park opens at 8 a.m. Limited handicap spaces are available. Once those spaces are filled, handicap drop-off will be available.

Happy Camp 4th of July Lottery

The last day to register for the 4th of July lottery for Happy Camp is tomorrow, May 23! Located just a few yards away from where the fireworks are launched, Happy Camp is one of the most popular spots for viewing Canyon Lake's impressive fireworks show. Due to its popularity, we hold a lottery to give members an equal opportunity to win a campsite reservation for the holiday. This year's lottery will be online on Thursday,

Pool Movie Night

Don't miss out on the summer's first Movie at the Pool on Friday, May 23, at the Canyon Lake Lodge pool! At this first movie of the year, we'll be showing a frightfully funny flick about an unusual family in the hospitality industry struggling with the human in their midst. Combining humor, dad shenanigans, and a dash of tongue-in-fang absurdity, this film delivers a lively and family-friendly escapade. The movie starts approximately at dusk. As a reminder, members may invite up to six guests (per tract/lot) to join them, and adult supervision is required for children under 14.

Senior Center Potluck

Join the Senior Center Work Group on Sunday, May 25, at 5 p.m. at the Senior Center for an evening of great food and patriotic cheer. Gather together for a community potluck for the wonderful chance to meet new friends and reconnect with neighbors. Everyone is encouraged to bring an appetizer, main course, or dessert to share. After the potluck, the fun continues with a lively game of Left, Right, Center.

Fiesta Day Grand Marshal

We are delighted to honor Joe Kamashian as this year's Fiesta Day Grand Marshal! Joe is renowned for his volunteer experience in Canyon Lake clubs and committees, serving several years on the Green Committee, where he was Chairman for two terms, and the Facilities Planning Committee, as well as working closely with the Tuesday Work Group on multiple projects to beautify and maintain the golf course. Joe is a proud member of the Men's Golf Club, the Yacht Club, the Canyon Lake Association of Men (C.L.A.M.S.), the Pickleball Club, and the Canyon Lake Association of Past Presidents (CLAPPS), the latter of which has successfully raised over $100,000 for golf course improvements. Additionally, Joe served as the Canyon Lake POA Board President from 2021/2022. This year marks the end of Joe's final term on the Board of Directors. Please join us in congratulating Joe on his vital service to our beautiful community!

Fiesta Parade Route & Reminders

Our iconic Fiesta Day parade kicks off the biggest event of the year this Saturday, May 24, at 9 a.m. The parade will begin at Mayflower Drive and Canyon Lake Drive North at approximately 9 a.m. The parade will make its way down Canyon Lake Drive North and turn right onto Vacation Drive. From Vacation Drive, the parade will make its way to its endpoint, Lighthouse Drive. Parade participants can exit the parade by taking Lighthouse Drive to Canyon Club Drive and onto Canyon Lake Drive North.

Please note, that parade participants can continue on to the Lodge, Holiday Harbor, or Sierra Park directly after the parade. After the parade disperses and the barricades are lifted, Sierra Park will be accessible. For more information, visit our Fiesta Parade page.

Fiesta Day/Memorial Weekend Access

As Fiesta Day draws near, we want to share some important information about community access during this exciting season. First, if you are inviting guests into the community, please utilize our access management software, GoAccess, which  expedites their entry into the community. Also, please note that service providers are not permitted into the community on Memorial Day Weekend (Saturday, May 24 – Monday, May 26) or 4th of July. Examples of service providers include contractors, delivery drivers (like DoorDash or pizza delivery), furniture deliveries, HVAC services, home cleaning services, landscapers/pool services, plumbing services, ride share apps (like Uber or Lyft). Please note, this does not apply to in-home health care services.

If you have a service provider needing access to the community, please add them as a temporary guest for the day.

Canyon Lake Community Theatre Disney's The Little Mermaid

Derby Day

Calling all ladies 21 and older! Pirates & Wenches Cruise

Ahoy, Mateys! Join the Canyon Lake Yacht Club for their annual Pirates & Wenches Cruise on Saturday, June 28, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Holiday Harbor docks! Bring your favorite appetizer to share and your own beverage. Don't forget to dress in your favorite pirate gear, or you may be made to walk the plank! Summer Camps

Canyon Lake launches Summer Camps this year! For four weeks from June 23 through July 25 (no camp the week of July 4th), children 6 years and older can participate in activities at a variety of our parks and amenities from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, such as:

• Pickleball, Basketball, and Indoor Activities at Eastport Park
• Baseball and Park Activities at Gault Field
• Activities with Different Canyon Lake Clubs at Eastport Park
• Tennis, Indoor Activities, or Beach Day at the Canyon Lake Lodge and Sunset Beach
• Beach Games, Water Safety, and Free Ice Cream at Sunset Beach

Register now! Participation is $125 per week per child. There are only 20 – 25 spots available per week, so register and secure your spot today!

We recommend that your child wear cool, comfortable clothing, wear a hat for sun protection, and bring a refillable water bottle with their name on it to stay hydrated during the warm summer days.

Swim Lessons

Looking for a fun way to beat the heat this summer? Sign up for swim lessons at the Canyon Lake POA pool!

Two swim sessions will take place each week starting June 16 through August 1 (no classes week of July 4). Session 1 is Monday through Friday at 10:15 a.m. Session 2 is Monday through Friday at 11 a.m. Evaluations to determine your child's swim level take place each Monday 10 minutes before the start of each session.

Space is limited, so register your child today! Sessions are $80 per week, per child.

Tennis Camp

Looking for a hobby that gets your children outside? Register them for the Summer Tennis Camp happening this summer from Monday, June 16, to Friday, June 20.

At this camp, participants will learn from our tennis pro Bobby Kielty the basics of tennis — or refine their skills if they are familiar with the sport. During this week-long camp, participants aged 4 to 6 will meet from 8:30 a.m. to 9 a.m., while those aged 7 to 17 will meet from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Ages 4 – 6 are $80; ages 7 – 17 are $200, which includes drinks, snacks, and on the final day, a pizza party. Register today by calling 951.760.0140.

Water Polo Lessons

Want your kid to have a ball this summer? Sign them up for water polo lessons at our amazing pool! Water polo lessons are perfect for children ages 8 to 15 who are ready to learn the ins and outs of this exciting sport.

They'll dive in for 1 hour and 15 minutes of pure fun from 11:45 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Monday through Friday starting June 16 through August 1 (no classes week of July 4).

We'll teach your kids the basics, including passing, shooting, and teamwork, all while having a blast in the water. Our experienced instructors will guide your child every step of the way, ensuring that they learn and progress at their own pace.

Space is limited, so register your child today! Sessions are $70 per week, per child.

Pool Summer Hours

Kick off Fiesta Day early by chilling out at the pool! Tomorrow, May 23, summer hours go into full effect. Lap Swim is extended from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m., while open swim is extended from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.

Private Event Schedule

The Country Club Bar & Grill is a great place to enjoy both indoor and outdoor dining overlooking the beautiful greens! While private events occasionally require sections of the restaurant to close, like the dining room or patio, the rest of the restaurant often remains open for your enjoyment.

Boat Registration Season

Before taking to the lake, be sure to register your boat online before June 1. Each year, boat owners are required to complete the Boat Registration Form, pay the renewal fee, and provide any additional details outlined in the registration letter that was sent out in late April. Everything can be submitted through the online form. Member Services can take payment by phone or in office, and decals can be picked up or mailed. Need help? Evening Aqua Fitness Classes Begin Tuesday, May 27

Starting Tuesday, May 27, evening Aqua Fitness classes begin! Join our instructor at the pool Monday through Wednesday and Friday at 7 p.m. for a HIIT Aqua Fitness class.

Looking to have an amazing workout while enjoying the pool during the day? Join our invigorating morning Aqua Fitness classes! We offer a dynamic HIIT Aqua Fitness class at 8 a.m. and low-intensity Aqua Fitness class at 9 a.m., Monday through Friday. Classes are $3.25 each, with the option of purchasing a package of 10 classes for just $26. Alternatively, you can enjoy unlimited classes for only $40 per month. Classes can be conveniently purchased at the Pool office.

When building a house or making any repairs, alterations, or additions to the exterior of your home or property, you must submit your plans to the Canyon Lake POA for the Architectural Control Committee (ACC) to review for approval at their weekly ACC Meeting. The property improvements posted on our ACC Notices page will be reviewed at the ACC Committee Meeting on Thursday, May 29, 2025.
