Board Meeting Recap

The Board of Directors met for their Regular Session Board Meeting on Tuesday,
February 3. At this meeting, the Board approved one 28 Day Reading, a committee chairperson appointment for the Lake Advocacy Committee, a committee charter revision for the Rules & Regulations Review Committee, a policy revision to the Sanctioned Club & Activity Group Policy, Recreation's annual club resanctioning, and funding for the pavement project and a backup generator for the Country Club.

As always, we thank everyone who participated in this meeting. The next
Regular Session Board Meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at 6 p.m. at the Lodge. Members are invited to join in person at the Lodge, online at vm.clpoa.net, or watch it live on the Canyon Lake POA Facebook page (@canyonlakepoa).

Lodge Lawn Turf Replacement Project

The Lawn Turf Replacement Project at the Lodge is complete! With new artificial turf in place, the lawn can continue hosting regular club and community events like Fiesta Day and Taco Tuesdays, weddings, and more without the wear and tear that comes with natural grass.

The new turf is designed to withstand heavy use, including high foot traffic and vehicle parking, which helps reduce ongoing landscaping labor and costs. In the summer months, the turf is designed to stay cooler with professionally installed cooling infill, similar to what many schools and parks use across the country.

Thanks to this project, the Lodge lawn will look picture-perfect all year long — another piece that makes our community a little bit of paradise!

Member of the Month

The Member of the Month for February are Todd and Lori Stover. In partnership with the Canyon Lake Library, the Stovers are responsible for the Kindles for Kids program, which encourages reading for children and teenagers by awarding Kindles to winners of their reading challenges. Grateful to give back to the communities that have played a crucial part in their lives, the Stovers are active volunteers in Canyon Lake, joining clubs like the Canyon Lake Car Club and investing in the local community. We thank them for their dedication to improving our community.

Employee of the Quarter

The Employee of the Quarter for the first quarter of 2026 is Sean Gardner. Sean joined the Canyon Lake POA in August 2020 as Campground Manager, bringing with him a great work ethic and excellent customer service. Consistency and dedication are just two words that describe Sean, whose uplifting attitude raises the bar of everyone around him. Sean brightens the campground and entertains visitors with festive decorations during the holidays, taking great pride in all aspects of his work. We are grateful of the time and energy he brings to the role every day and the example he sets.

Budget Workshop

The annual Budget Workshop will be held on Tuesday, February 17, at 6 p.m. at the Lodge. At this workshop, members can participate in the Board's review and discussion of the 2026/27 preliminary Budget prepared by the Finance Committee.

Members are invited to join in person at the Lodge, online at vm.clpoa.net, or watch it live on the Canyon Lake POA Facebook page (@canyonlakepoa).

Equestrian Center Arena Project

As a reminder, work began today, February 5, starting with the dressage arena and the turn-out arena. During this phase, the dressage arena will be closed for approximately two weeks, and the turn-out arena will be unavailable for about one and a half weeks. The final phase will be the jumping arena and round pen, which will take approximately one week. Weather permitting, the full project is expected to take approximately three weeks to complete.

Country Club Bar & Grill
Private Event Schedule

The Country Club Bar & Grill is a great place to enjoy both indoor and outdoor dining overlooking the beautiful greens! While private events occasionally require sections of the restaurant to close, like the dining room or patio, the rest of the restaurant often remains open for your enjoyment.
