June Member of the Month

This month's Member of the Month is Kathy Barbay. Kathy and her husband moved to Canyon Lake in 2002, beginning their most rewarding chapter of life so far. Over the last two decades, Kathy has embraced the many opportunities Canyon Lake offers, joining multiple clubs like the Yacht Club, Women's Club, Chair Volleyball, Fine Arts Guild, and YOP-C. As a dedicated member of the Patriotic Quilters club, she has helped create dozens of quilts to gift to veterans, honoring their service. Her true dedication to the community, however, manifests in her love for the Senior Center. Through her tireless efforts, she has created an environment that supports and fosters friendships and talents among the seniors in Canyon Lake. Her service extends to the Senior Work Group, where she currently serves as Chairperson.  We thank Kathy for her unwavering commitment to volunteerism.

Pickleball Courts Resurfacing Project Update

The pickleball courts will be closed in phases from now through Thursday, June 18, as part of a resurfacing project. Learn more at our  Pickleball Courts Resurfacing Project page.

Resurfacing rejuvenates the courts, improving playability and overall performance while addressing cracks, surface wear, and fading. This process also helps extend the lifespan of the courts, which typically require resurfacing every three to five years to maintain quality and durability.

Court availability can be viewed online through the pickleball cam.

Service Reminders

Event Planning Toolkit

The Canyon Lake POA fosters and promotes celebrations throughout the community. However, as with any organization, we must ensure events held at our facilities follow ordinances set in place by other authoritative agencies, such as the City of Canyon Lake, Riverside County Health Department, and Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC), to name a few. To help members, clubs, and sponsored organizations navigate through the process of planning an event, we created an online event planning toolkit with step-by-step instructions for planning your event, links to forms, documents, and other agencies, and more!

The Country Club Bar & Grill is a great place to enjoy both indoor and outdoor dining overlooking the beautiful greens! While private events occasionally require sections of the restaurant to close, like the dining room or patio, the rest of the restaurant often remains open for your enjoyment.
