Lake Testing Results

In response to member requests, the full lake testing results are now available on our Lake Conditions Page.

These reports are highly technical, which is why a simplified summary was shared earlier to highlight the key findings.

Thank you for your continued interest in the health and safety of Canyon Lake.

New State Law Impacts
Fine Limits for HOAs

On July 1, the California Legislature approved AB 130. Among other things, this new law limits fines for community associations to $100 unless violations threaten health or safety, complicating enforcement efforts across the state. This new law went into effect immediately and in response, the Canyon Lake POA is modifying its fine structure for the time being:

• Non-safety-related violations will now be capped at $100 to comply with the new law.
• Health and safety-related violations, such as reckless e-bike use or unsafe holiday behavior, will continue to carry fines beyond $100.

The emergency resolution tripling fines for safety related violations stands and will continue to have triple fines as outlined in the Board’s previously adopted resolution.
We will continue to monitor legislative developments and adjust as needed to ensure compliance with state law. Read and learn more on CAI-CLAC's webpage.

Service Provider Access

As 4th of July draws near, we want to share some important information about community access during this exciting season. First, if you are inviting guests into the community, please utilize our e-pass service, which emails or texts your guests their pass. This will expedite their entry into the community and keep the lines moving expediently. Also, please note that service providers are not permitted into the community 4th of July weekend (July 4 through July 6). Examples of service providers include contractors, delivery drivers (like DoorDash or pizza delivery), furniture deliveries, HVAC services, home cleaning services, landscapers/pool services, plumbing services, ride share apps (like Uber or Lyft). Please note, this does not apply to in-home health care services.

If you have a service provider needing access to the community, please add them as a temporary guest for the day.

Lodge Parking

On the 4th of July, access to The Lodge parking lot will be restricted to pedestrians starting at 4 p.m. Our patrol team will manage entry, allowing one vehicle in as another leaves. Please note that individuals requiring ADA access may be dropped off at the Lodge.

All vehicles, including golf carts, must be parked in designated parking spots. Be aware that parking violations will result in fines, which increase during holiday weekends.

Park & Beach Setup Hours

Please be advised that all parks and beaches in the community will be open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. on July 4th. Access is first-come, first-served basis. Community Patrol will be actively enforcing park hours. Entry or leaving personal property before the specified opening time is not allowed. Any property left prior will be collected by the Canyon Lake POA and can be retrieved 24 hours a day at Bluebird Hall through the following Monday, July 7. Any property not claimed before July 7 will be considered abandoned and disposed of. Please note, the Canyon Lake POA is not liable for the loss or damage of these items.

Boat Registration

Unregistered boats are not permitted on the lake. Marine Patrol will be verifying boats for current registration at all launch ramps throughout the July 4th weekend. Unregistered boats are subject to fines, which increase over holiday weekends. Event Planning Toolkit

The Canyon Lake POA fosters and promotes celebrations throughout the community. However, as with any organization, we must ensure events held at our facilities follow ordinances set in place by other authoritative agencies, such as the City of Canyon Lake, Riverside County Health Department, and Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC), to name a few. To help members, clubs, and sponsored organizations navigate through the process of planning an event, we created an online event planning toolkit with step-by-step instructions for planning your event, links to forms, documents, and other agencies, and more!
