Summer Camps

Don't miss out on our LAST week of Summer Camp, starting July 21! Open to kids ages 6 and up, this fun-filled camp runs Monday through Friday from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Each day is packed with hands-on activities like pickleball, baseball, beach games, water safety, and crafts — hosted across our parks and amenities with help from incredible community clubs including the Mermaids of Canyon Lake, Pickleball Club, Little League, and the Community Garden Club.

Taco Tuesday

Our next Taco Tuesday is on July 22! From
4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Canyon Lake Lodge, enjoy family fun, food, and more!

Enjoy tacos, combo plates, bowls, and taco salads, plus drink specials served in the Holiday Bay Room, or pick up specialty items from URBN Market Fushion and Kona Ice. Have fun with a water slide and a jumper slide, a balloon twister, a face painter, games, and DJ music.

Desperado Eagles Tribute
Canyon Lake Guild Concert

Soar into musical mastery with Desperado, an Eagles tribute concert hosted by the Canyon Lake Guild this Saturday, July 19, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Canyon Lake Lodge.

One of the best and most well-known Eagles tribute bands in the United States, Desperado boasts a line-up of five lead singers and multi-instrumentalists who not only possess and rival the musical talents of the actual Eagles but have played with members of the Hall of Fame band itself!

Senior Center Potluck

The Sports Stop Pub & Grill is coming to the Senior Center at 5 p.m. on Sunday, July 27! With an entrée dish by Sports Stop, this month's Senior Center Potluck Dinner is going to be jam-packed with mouthwatering foods.

Bring appetizers or desserts to load up the tables with goodies to feast on.

Seats for this event are limited, so RSVP today by calling the Canyon Lake POA Recreation Department at 951.244.6841 x610. The last day to RSVP is next Wednesday, July 23.

Water Polo   Lessons

There are only two weeks left to sign your kid up for water polo lessons! Spots are limited, so  register your child today!

Water polo lessons are perfect for children ages 8 to 15 who are ready to learn the ins and outs of this exciting sport.

They'll dive in for 1 hour and 15 minutes of pure fun from 11:45 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Monday through Friday from now through August 1, learning the basics and fostering teamwork. Sessions are $70 per week, per child.

Swim Lessons

Looking for a fun way to beat the heat this summer? Sign up for swim lessons and water polo lessons at the Canyon Lake POA pool!

Two swim sessions will take place each week from now through August 1. Session 1 is Monday through Friday at 10:15 a.m. Session 2 is Monday through Friday at 11 a.m. Evaluations to determine your child's swim level take place each Monday 10 minutes before the start of each session.

Space is limited, so register your child today! Sessions are $80 per week, per child.

Bingo!

Grab your daubers and get ready to shout "Bingo!" on Sunday, July 20, at the Senior Center. The buy-in is $13 for a 10-pack of bingo sheets, and two special games are available for $1 each. There is a Hot Ball opportunity, and buy-in is only $1! Doors open at 12 p.m., and calling starts at 1 p.m. sharp, so get there before the doors close. Everyone 18 or older is welcome!

Every 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month, the Lions Club hosts a bingo fundraiser event at the Senior Center.

National Parks & Recreation Month
Did you know that July is National Parks & Recreation Month? As part of our celebration, we'll be featuring different parks in our email newsletter each week. This week, we're highlighting parks that are pet friendly. As a reminder, at all parks except the fenced dog parks at Eastport Park, pets must be on a leash.

Eastport Park

Located at 24331 Canyon Lake Drive North, this park is a haven for recreation enthusiasts and pet lovers! Treat your furry friend to a day of fun at our popular large and small dog parks located at this park. The dog parks are Canyon Lake's only areas where pets can roam without a leash. Eastport is also home to the popular pickleball courts, basketball courts and is one of the community's most popular launch points with a convenient launch ramp.

Emerald Park

Discover this pet-friendly gem of park located at 22760 Gray Fox Drive. Immerse yourself in the lush greenery of the grassy areas, perfect for a leisurely picnic or a game of frisbee with friends and family. It's also an excellent park for the kids with a fun playground structure. Your furry friend is also welcome at this park, but please remember to keep your pets leashed here.

Canyon Lake Lions Club Bingo Bash

Get out of the summer heat and join the Lions Club for their Bingo Bash on Sunday, September 7, at the Canyon Lake Lodge! This fundraiser event has a $20 buy-in and offers everyone's favorite bingo fun and more!

Pre-sale tickets and table reservations are available at the Canyon Lake Senior Center from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. this Sunday,
July 20
, as well as on August 3 and
August 17.

Doors open at 11:30 a.m., with calling starting at 1 p.m. Enjoy a hot dog lunch for an additional $10. Everyone 18 and over is welcome! Event proceeds will be donated to the Hope Food Pantry and Helping Hands Food Pantry.

Canyon Lake Yacht Club 13th Annual Paddle & Pedal Regatta

Calling all paddleboards, kayaks, pedal boats, and non-motorized vessels! The 13th Annual Paddle & Pedal Regatta returns to Canyon Lake on Saturday, August 9, from 9 a.m. to
1 p.m. at Indian Beach.

The Canyon Lake Yacht Club invites one and all to a fun day on the water that includes paddle board demos, raffles, prizes, and a group photo.

LAST Movie Night at the Pool!

Don't miss out on our LAST Movie at the Pool on Saturday, August 9, at the Canyon Lake Lodge pool!

We'll be showing an animated movie about a girl and the strange, otherworldly pet she adopts! When galactic ne'er-do-wells threaten to steal him away, it's up to our plucky protagonist to keep him part of her family and teach the true meaning of 'ohana.

The movie starts approximately at dusk. As a reminder, members may invite up to six guests (per tract/lot) to join them, and adult supervision is required for children under 14.

Gault Field Lighting
Upgrade Project

The Gault Field Lighting Upgrade Project is currently underway. This project will replace the aging lights and 40-year-old wooden poles at Gault Field with new energy-efficient LED lighting. The project was approved in March of 2025.

The project is expected to save over $30,000 annually in energy and maintenance! Thank you for your patience as we complete this important upgrade to support youth sports and recreation.

Tennis Courts Resurfacing

The tennis courts at the Canyon Lake Lodge will undergo resurfacing beginning Monday, July 28.

Court availability will vary throughout the resurfacing period, as work will be done in phases. Please note that multiple courts may be under construction at the same time, depending on the type of work being performed.

This resurfacing ensures improved playability and court conditions. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this time.

Happy Camp Labor Day Weekend Reservations

Close out the summer at Happy Camp! For Labor Day weekend, reservations at Happy Camp are available only in person beginning Friday, August 15, at 8 a.m. at the campground office. Rates on Labor Day weekend are $69 for lakefront with water, electric, and sewer; $64 for off-water with water, electric, and sewer; and $59 for tent sites.

As a reminder for those who arrive early, quiet hours at Happy Camp are in effect from 10 p.m. to 8 a.m. per our Rules & Regulations (HC.4.2). Please be considerate of others by observing these hours. Loud music, radios, televisions, or other disturbances are not permitted during this time. Learn more at our Rules page.

Community Emergency
Response Team (CERT) Meeting

Interested in learning disaster preparedness? Join the City of Canyon Lake Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) at their next meeting on Thursday, August 21, at 6 p.m. at City Hall to learn how you can take a more active role in emergency preparedness projects in Canyon Lake.

Learn about hazards that might impact the area, and train in basic disaster response skills, such as fire safety, light search and rescue, disaster medical operations, and more.

Can't make this month's meeting? Meetings are held every 3rd Thursday of the month at City Hall at 6 p.m.

The Burn Lab

Sweat off the pounds at our new class: The Burn Lab! Starting August 6, hit the Canyon Lake Lodge on Wednesdays at 7 p.m. to get your burn on. This high-energy, full-body workout annihilates calories through short bursts of intense exercise followed by brief recovery periods, building strength and improving cardiovascular fitness and balance by boosting metabolism and endurance. Try out your first class free!

When building a house or making any repairs, alterations, or additions to the exterior of your home or property, you must submit your plans to the Canyon Lake POA for the Architectural Control Committee (ACC) to review for approval at their weekly ACC Meeting. The property improvements posted on our ACC Notices page will be reviewed at the ACC Committee Meeting on Thursday, July 24, 2025.
