Canyon Lake Lions Club Bingo Bash

SOLD OUT! Get out of the summer heat and join the Lions Club for their Bingo Bash on Sunday, September 7, at the Canyon Lake Lodge! This fundraiser event has a $20 buy-in and offers everyone's favorite bingo fun and more!

Doors open at 11:30 a.m., with calling starting at 1 p.m. Enjoy a hot dog lunch for an additional $10. Event proceeds will be donated to the Hope Food Pantry and Helping Hands Food Pantry.

9/11 Patriot Day Tribute

Join us for Patriot Day on Thursday, September 11, from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., at the Canyon Lake Lodge for a heartfelt 9/11 Tribute. This evening is dedicated to honoring the memories of those we lost and to show our unwavering support for our Veterans and First Responders.

The event, hosted by the Canyon Lake POA, will include moments of remembrance, patriotic music, and opportunities for the community to come together in unity.

Mermaids of Canyon Lake
5th Annual Mermaid Harvest Tea

Join the Mermaids of Canyon Lake for an afternoon of tea and fun at the 5th Annual Mermaid Harvest Tea from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, September 13, at the Canyon Lake Senior Center.

Have fun taking snapshots in a photobooth, enjoy a delightful Canyon Lake Theatre group performance, buy goodies from a variety of vendors, win prizes at the door, and more! Snack on finger sandwiches, cheese balls, scones, cream puffs, cheese cake, and cookies.

Hosted by the Canyon Lake Woman's Club, this annual cook-off features a mouthwatering selection of chilis to choose from! Get chili tasting and beer tasting for just $25. Looking for more excitement? Mermaids of Canyon Lake
2026 Calendar Photo Contest

Calling all shutterbugs! The Mermaids of Canyon Lake are hosting a photo contest for their 2026 Canyon Lake Calendar featuring photos of our beautiful community taken anytime in 2025. Submit your landscape, high-resolution photo to Nicole Taylor at [email protected] to be entered into the contest for a chance to win!

Individual month winners will win a prize valued at $50, while the calendar cover winner will win prize valued at $100. Photos will be judged by a professional local photographer.

The deadline to submit is Monday, October 6, so send in your photo today! Winners will be announced on October 13.

School Bus Reminder

School is back in session! As kids return to school, it is important for drivers to remember to stop for school buses and be on the lookout for kids on bikes, e-bikes, skateboards, and other transports commuting to and from school or bus stops.

Community Patrol regularly monitors the bus stops throughout the community, and there is a $100 fine for failure to stop at a school bus signal (GR.5.1.n).

As always, if you see a driver speeding or driving erratically, please call Community Patrol at 951.246.2721.

Tennis Courts Resurfacing

The tennis courts resurfacing is currently underway. All tennis courts are closed until Tuesday, September 2.

This resurfacing ensures improved playability and court conditions. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this time.

Labor Day Service Provider Access

As Labor Day Weekend draws near, we want to share some important information about community access during this summer season. First, if you are inviting guests into the community, please utilize GoAccess, which emails or texts your guests their pass and expedites their entry into the community. Also, please note that service providers are not permitted into the community on Labor Day Weekend (Saturday, August 30 – Monday, September 1). Examples of service providers include contractors, delivery drivers (like DoorDash or pizza delivery), furniture deliveries, HVAC services, home cleaning services, landscapers/pool services, plumbing services, ride share apps (like Uber or Lyft). Please note, this does not apply to in-home health care services.

If you have a service provider needing access to the community, please add them as a temporary guest for the day.

Labor Day Office Hours

Labor Day is just around the corner, and we're gearing up to celebrate and honor the contributions of workers everywhere! Please note that our offices (including Member Services) are closed on Monday,
September 1, in recognition of the holiday.

Our regular office hours will resume on Tuesday, September 2. We hope everyone has a great holiday. 

Pool Fall Hours

As we say goodbye to summer and hello to fall, note that our pool hours will change. Beginning Monday, September 1, lap swim and exercise swim will be 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. daily, and open swim will be 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily. Visit our Pool page for more information.

New  Member Services Office Hours

Starting Tuesday, September 2, Member Services will be open until 7 p.m. on Thursdays. On all other weekdays, Monday through Wednesday and Friday, the office will close at 5 p.m.

Community Emergency
Response Team (CERT) Meeting

Interested in learning disaster preparedness? Join the City of Canyon Lake Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) at their next meeting on Thursday, September 18, at 6 p.m. at City Hall to learn how you can take a more active role in emergency preparedness projects in Canyon Lake.

Learn about hazards that might impact the area, and train in basic disaster response skills, such as fire safety, light search and rescue, disaster medical operations, and more.

Can't make this month's meeting? Meetings are held every 3rd Thursday of the month at City Hall at 6 p.m.

SERVICE REMINDERS

Lake Status Flags
- Current Status: Green Flag -

Boaters are advised to take note of the three lake flags: red flags mean the Main Lake is closed to boat traffic, yellow flags mean the Main Lake is restricted to NO WAKE, and green flags mean there are no lake restrictions. 

The flags are most regularly used during inclement weather or special events on the Main Lake. The current lake level is 1,381.43 and the lake is on a Green status.

When building a house or making any repairs, alterations, or additions to the exterior of your home or property, you must submit your plans to the Canyon Lake POA for the Architectural Control Committee (ACC) to review for approval at their weekly ACC Meeting. The property improvements posted on our ACC Notices page will be reviewed at the ACC Committee Meeting on Thursday, August 28, 2025.
