Taco Tuesday

Join us for our next Taco Tuesday on June 23 at the Canyon Lake Lodge! From 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., enjoy an evening of great food, family-friendly activities, and community fun. Enjoy taco specials and pizza from the Lodge, or grab dinner from The CaliPorkerBBQ. Kona Ice will also be on-site with sweet treats. Water slides, a balloon artist, games, and DJ music will keep the fun going all evening long. Gather with friends and neighbors and enjoy a summer evening at the Lodge.

Stick around at dusk for a special screening of the live-action How to Train Your Dragon, featuring a young man befriending an unlikely creature his clan is sworn to destroy, changing the course of history by making a dragon-sized alliance out of compassion.

Special thanks to TK Realty for sponsoring this Taco Tuesday and helping make this event possible. We look forward to seeing you there!

No two Taco Tuesdays are the same! Follow our Facebook pages @CanyonLakePOA and @thecanyonlakelodge for up-to-date information about food and activities at each Taco Tuesday. Learn more on our Taco Tuesday page.

Eastport Sidewalk Project Underway

A new sidewalk is coming to the Eastport area to provide a more accessible route for pedestrians traveling to and from Eastport Park! The project started this week with several trees being removed in front of the Eastport Villas. Following tree removal, the area will be graded, and a new walking path will be added to provide easier access to and from the park. Grading is expected to begin the following week and take approximately seven to 10 days to complete. Additional landscaping is planned the second week of July. For updates and more information, visit the Eastport Sidewalk Project page.

We appreciate your patience and understanding during this work.

Pool Closed for Tree Trimming

The pool at the Canyon Lake Lodge will be closed from 6 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Wednesday, June 24, for necessary palm tree trimming. Unfortunately, swim lessons and advanced swim camp for the day will be canceled, but arrangements to make up the missing day will be provided. Please contact the Pool Supervisor at 951.244.6841 x617 for arrangements. We thank you for your patience and understanding.

Tree trimming maintains the health of the palms, mitigates potential hazards like falling fronds, and helps maintain the overall cleanliness of the pool.

Pickleball Courts Resurfacing Project Update

Resurfacing of the pickleball courts is expected to wrap up this week. Courts 1 through 4 are open and ready for play. Courts 5 and 6 are expected to reopen tomorrow morning, June 19.  Court availability can be viewed online through the pickleball cam.

Resurfacing rejuvenates the courts, improving playability and overall performance while addressing cracks, surface wear, and fading. This process also helps extend the lifespan of the courts, which typically require resurfacing every three to five years to maintain quality and durability.

4th of July

Watching the show from one of our popular locations, like Sunset Beach or Holiday Harbor? Stick around after the fireworks show to help reduce traffic congestion!

4th of July Gate Management

We are putting a temporary gate plan in place on 4th of July to help keep things moving and get everyone where they need to go faster and easier.

4th of July Gate Access
Saturday, July 4: 9 a.m. – 10 p.m.
Main Gate: All lanes open for guest entry.
East Gate: Member-only access. Guests will be directed to the Main Gate.
North Gate: No changes; standard access for both members and guests.

As a reminder, please make sure the proper CLPOA membership card is used at entry. Sharing a CLPOA membership card is a violation and subject to fine (GR.6.3), and cards in the possession of non-members or unauthorized persons will be confiscated. Please note, fines are tripled during holidays.

Be sure to plan ahead and share the details with your guests so everyone can enjoy a fun holiday weekend! Please utilize our e-pass service, Go Access, which emails or texts your guests their pass. This will expedite their entry into the community and keep the lines moving expediently.

Also, please note that service providers are not permitted into the community on 4th of July, such as contractors, delivery drivers (like DoorDash or pizza delivery), furniture deliveries, HVAC services, home cleaning services, landscapers/pool services, plumbing services, and ride share apps (like Uber or Lyft). Please note, this does not apply to in-home health care services. If you have a service provider needing access to the community, please add them as a temporary guest for the day. Learn more at our Guest Access page.

Lodge Parking

On the 4th of July, access to The Lodge parking lot will be restricted to pedestrians starting at 4 p.m. Our patrol team will manage entry, allowing one vehicle in as another leaves. Please note that individuals requiring ADA access may be dropped off at the Lodge.

All vehicles, including golf carts, must be parked in designated parking spots. Be aware that parking violations will result in fines, which increase during holiday weekends.

Park & Beach Setup Hours

Please be advised that all parks and beaches in the community will be open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. on July 4th. Access is first-come, first-served basis. Community Patrol will be actively enforcing park hours. Entry or leaving personal property before the specified opening time is not allowed. Any property left prior will be collected by the Canyon Lake POA and can be retrieved 24 hours a day at Bluebird Hall through the following Monday, July 6. Any property not claimed before July 6 will be considered abandoned and disposed of. Please note, the Canyon Lake POA is not liable for the loss or damage of these items.

Boat Registration

Unregistered boats are not permitted on the lake. Marine Patrol will be verifying boats for current registration at all launch ramps throughout the July 4th weekend. Unregistered boats are subject to fines, which increase over holiday weekends. Please note the canyon Lake POA offices will be closed on Friday, July 3, in observance of the holiday. However, the offices are open until 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 2.

Those who need to have a safety inspection completed on their boats to register them should visit the Marine Patrol office at Holiday Harbor or call Marine Patrol at 951.244.6841 x415 to schedule an appointment.
