Parade of Lights Access Notice

To help move holiday traffic more efficiently for residents, we are implementing a temporary gate plan in place this Saturday, December 13, for Parade of Lights from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. These adjustments are designed to streamline resident entry and reduce delays during peak hours.

• Main Gate: All lanes will be open for guest entry.
• East Gate: All lanes will be for Canyon Lake POA members only. Guests will be redirected to the Main Gate.
• North Gate: No changes; standard access for both members and guests.

As a reminder, if you are inviting guests into the community, please utilize GoAccess, which emails or texts your guests their pass and expedites their entry into the community. Also, please remember that service providers are not permitted into the community this Saturday, December 13. Note, that this does not apply to in-home healthcare services. If you have a service provider needing access to the community, please add them as a temporary guest for the day. For more about guest access, visit our Guest Access page.

Lake Education Article
How Canyon Lake Fits in the Watershed -

Learn more about our lake through our Lake Education Series! This new collection of articles, contributed by the Lake Advocacy Committee, explores the science behind Canyon Lake's health. Learn about algae, nutrients, watershed dynamics, and the practical steps you can take to help protect our lake.

Our third article, "How Canyon Lake Fits in the Watershed," explains how Canyon Lake is a vital checkpoint in the San Jacinto River watershed and how runoff from upstream areas influences water quality downstream in Lake Elsinore and the Santa Ana River. It underscores the importance of regional cooperation and upstream management to protect Canyon Lake's health and its role in the broader ecosystem.

Pavement Project Underway

The pavement improvement project is in progress throughout the community. Phase 3 finished ahead of schedule last week, and Phase 4 is currently underway.

Phase 5 is scheduled to begin on Thursday, December 18. Roads include Sorrel Lane.

Affected streets will be closed on the remaining days from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. with "No Parking" signs posted 48 hours in advance. Please avoid driving or walking on treated areas until barricades are removed to prevent damage.

The Canyon Lake POA is exploring ways to assist residents in navigating Blackhorse Drive during this phase; those residents will be notified accordingly.

Lake Contamination Reminder

A reminder that protecting the shoreline and waters of our lake is a shared responsibility. Dumping of debris or spillage of solids or liquid contaminants that could enter or drain into the lake is prohibited and will incur fines (GR.2.22). In addition, leaving trash, garbage, or other refuse, including yard debris such as leaves, on the shoreline is not permitted and will also result in fines (PC.4.16).

By working together to keep our lake clean, we reduce hazardous conditions and safeguard the wildlife ecosystem.

Canyon Lake Camera Program

Help us protect our assets against vandalism by signing up for the Canyon Lake Camera Program!

The Canyon Lake Camera Program allows community residents with surveillance systems to voluntarily add themselves to a list that the Riverside County Sheriff's Department and Canyon Lake POA may refer to if a criminal incident occurred nearby. By signing up for this program, the Canyon Lake POA and/or law enforcement may contact you when these criminal incidents occur to help solve the crime by requesting to review the video footage your system may have captured.

This program is for Canyon Lake POA members, and members must log in to the website to sign up. Alternatively, email [email protected] to sign up. If emailing, please include your name, address, and tract-lot number.
