July Member of the Month

The Member of the Month for July is Joe Washle. When Joe moved to Canyon Lake in 2002, he quickly became part of the fabric of the community. Joe joined the Canyon Lake Men's Golf Club Board in 2004 and served for five years, including as President in 2008, and dedicated nearly two decades of service improving the golf course with the Tuesday Work Group, where he also served on the board for five years. Joe brought his integrity and genuine desire to do what is best for the community to several Canyon Lake POA committees, including the Green Committee, the Rules & Regulations Review Committee, and the Finance Committee, where he's still active. As a Fine Arts Guild member and supporter, as well as a Canyon Lake Association of Men (CLAMS) member, Joe sets an example for all of us with his lifetime commitment to the community. Joe's true stewardship of Canyon Lake, evident in his investment of time, talent, and heart into the community, will benefit residents for years to come. Please join us in thanking Joe for his extraordinary service, unwavering dedication, and many years of leadership.

Service Reminders

Lake Emergency Markers

Have you ever noticed the large letter signs that can be seen on the lake at several of the beaches and parks around the community? These letter signs are actually Emergency Locations Markers (ELMs) with latitude and longitude coordinates attached to them. The letters go from A to O. Residents who have an emergency on the lake can refer to the letter when they call 9-1-1. The Canyon Lake Fire Department references these letters so they can determine your location and provide assistance quicker. We recommend that all boaters have a copy of the Emergency Location Markers Map, which includes the physical address of each letter in the event that dispatch requests the address.
